From 1921 to 1939 Theodor Fischer organized his auction sales at the Grand Hotel National in and at the Guild House "zur Meisen" in Zurich. In the year 1939 the Galerie Fischer had been extended. From now on it was possible to run international Art auctions in the generous, stylishly designed, museum-like Gallery at the Haldenstrasse in Lucerne. At this time, Fischer reached the position as one of the most successful auctioneers on the European continent. His sons Arthur Fischer (1905-1981) and Dr. Paul Fischer (1911-1976) supported the founder and run the Gallery after his death in the year 1957.
